Beautifully faceted to accentuate its rare neon bluish-green colouring, this gemstone has an electric sparkle that radiates from within. Interestingly even heavily included (all the markings on the inside of the gemstone) Paraiba fetches astronomical prices due to its scarcity, and Paraiba over 1ct in weight even more unusual. Paraiba tourmaline that comes from one area of Paraíba state in Brazil’s northeast corner. Since it was discovered in the late 1980s, Paraíba tourmaline’s striking neon blues and greens have electrified the gem world. The gem’s unique, vivid coloring instantly set it apart from other tourmalines.
